Noble Production Automated Processes

The Noble Production Suite includes Primary Business Processes and Administrative Processes.

Primary Business Processes

  • Provide functionality for the organization to record, investigate, correct and prevent undesirable conditions.
  • Systematically review the facility and its organization against specific criteria to determine overall performance and/or compliance to the criteria.
  • They facilitate the coaching and leadership needed to reform the culture and improve its ability to achieve specific goals and objectives.

The Following process are  included:

Condition Reporting Process (CR)
Used to record and evaluate  conditions to determine their cause and the appropriate changes that will correct and prevent the conditions from reoccurring.

Change Management Process (MOC)
Used to manage changes in the organization.  It provides the functions necessary to evaluate change, to ensure that the full impacts are considered and that they do not violate the facility design.

Work Action Process (WA)
The WA Process is a general purpose utility  that is used to manage the individual actions needed to evaluate plan and implement change in the organization.

Assessment Process (ASMT)
The ASMT Process is used to systematically evaluate the organization’s execution against specific criteria.  This process has been designed to determine the organization’s compliance level and the cultural characteristics that affect its ability to comply.

Observation Process (OBS)
The OBS Process is used to record information observed during less formal visits to various locations and groups in the organization.  These are ad hoc and scheduled visits by responsible individuals to maintain a continuous surveillance of the facility and its work force.   Observations require that specific information be recorded as early indicators of latent problems and cultural movement.

Goal Translation Process (GT)
The GT Process is used to translate the organization’s strategic goals into meaningful goals for the individual work groups throughout the organization.

Administrative Processes

These Processes provide maintaining and updating support for the Primary Processes and the information sets they need to function.

The Administrative  Processes are:

Resource Processes
The Noble Production Suite includes processes to add, change or obsolete resource information used by the Primary Business Processes.
The Resource Maintenance Processes included are:
Employee Maintenance  Process
Facility  System Maintenance  Process
Facility Major Equipment Maintenance  Process
Document Maintenance Process
Facility Area Maintenance Process

Noble Production Scenario

MetaPower offers a suite of services to support Noble Production. MetaPower assists in conducting an Assessment using our Automated Assessment Process that is designed to establish the organization’s performance relative to OSHA’s Voluntary Protection Program Criteria and its Process Safety Management Criteria.   In addition, this assessment will identify cultural characteristics that affect the organization’s performance. This information will be used to establish goals for organizational improvements that are implemented through the Automated Processes.

MetaPower trains the Organizational Leadership in the Noble Production Philosophy and how the Assessment Results are used to reform the culture and improve performance.   The Leadership training includes fundamental Cultural Principles and how the automated processes are used to address cultural Issues.

MetaPower conducts a review of the Automated Process with the client to introduce the processes and identify any modifications needed to support the initial implementation. MetaPower assists the client organization in making any changes identified.  MetaPower’s Business Process Designer allows these changes to be made in a matter of several days.  Once the changes to the automated processes have been completed, MetaPower assists the Client in conducting rollout training for the Automated Process.

MetaPower recommends that the initial objectives of Noble Production be the implementation of the Automated Processes.  Once these processes are in place, MetaPower offers additional services to facilitate an initial Goal Translation effort. As described elsewhere, the Goal Translation Process systematically develops goals and objectives at each level in the organization that are mutually supportive. These aligned goals are instrumental in working with the Organization’s Culture to achieve the alignment necessary to produce the needed performance.

MetaPower normally expects the automated processes to be reconfigured and implemented within the first 30 days following  a project’s start.  This schedule will depend to some extent on the availability of Client personnel to participate in critical phases of the project. MetaPower would normally expect to conduct the initial Goal Translation exercise within 4 months from the start of the project.  MetaPower offers continuing  Client Services to provide an outside perspective on the Organization’s progress to Noble Production and its Cultural Evolution.
